The Savings Bank and Pawnbroker of Gipuzkoa and San Sebastián- Gipuzkoa eta Donostiako Aurrezki Kutxa (kutxa), whose business address is in Donostia-San Sebastián (Gipuzkoa), calle Garibai 15, was set up as a merger between the Provincial Savings Bank of Gipuzkoa and the Municipal Savings Bank of San Sebastián, on the st of December 1990.

It is registered with number 2.101 in the Special Register of Popular Savings Banks dependent on the Bank of Spain. It is also registered in the Mercantile Register of Donostia-San Sebastián, in company volume 1.011, page 1 of sheet No. SS-745, 1st entry, dated the 29th of December 1990.

Business purpose: The business purpose of this institution is the promotion and development of savings and benefit on all levels and of all types and forms, and the receipt of funds from the public in the form of deposits or similar, which go hand in hand with the obligation of return thereof, applying them on its own behalf in granting credits and carrying out all transactions for which this type of institution is authorised.

In accordance with the nature of its business, the Savings Bank also has the business purpose of creating and maintaining work of a charitable-social and cultural nature on its own behalf and in cooperation with others, within the scope of its possibilities. The Savings Bank shall concern itself with cooperating with private initiative and shall request it in cases of social need.

The Savings Bank shall maintain a Pawnbroker.

 
   The articles of association of the institution and accounting and economical-financial situations may be reviewed at the head offices of kutxa, calle Garibai 15 in Donostia-San Sebastián.

   Kutxa belongs to the Depositor’s Guarantee Fund, of which both merged Savings Banks have been members since it was first set up.
